My wife got me an early birthday present. Should be interesting…my first and only #GnR #concert was one of the best (the band, the musical performance) and one of the worst (the other attendees) of my life. Don’t @ me, haters…I don’t care :) I’m as unabashed in my affection for GnR as I am for Steely Dan. As Dick Hugo said when asked about adoring a mostly reviled poet, I’m just lucky I guess! Too bad I don’t fit in my OG t-shirt…

So, @robertwrighter follows Norman Finkelstein with Coleman Hughes, Quillettian, 1776 "Unites" scholar, and Manhattan Institute fellow? This looks like a sad trajectory for someone who I once admired so much. I used to think this kind of guest, outside of the execrable Kaus, were the exception. Now they are starting to feel like the rule. What happened to Wright?

Love the look of the "flower" #crossword puzzles. Best printed, but they look kind of neat in the online solvers as well. Today I've had DMs on Twitter (seriously?), LinkedIn (I try to log in twice a year), and Facebook Messenger (which I begrudgingly use for family and a few friends from the days I was actually on Facebook). The convergence of all three is vaguely notable :)

If I never see another roman numeral entry in a #crossword, it will be too soon. The only worse crosswordese is the "sequence of letters after X" clue. No one belies in STUV or GHIJ I'm afraid to say.
